Sex Toy Review - Nick Hawk GIGOLO Swivel Whip

I love whips. I have several floggers, a riding crop, and even a bullwhip that is perfect for Indiana Jones cosplay. So when I saw the Nick Hawk GIGOLO Swivel Whip, I had to have it! This whip is a bit different from my other whips since the tails are on a swivel. I can twirl the tails by swinging the handle, which gives the whip more sting when the tails strike flesh. The handle and tails are made of sturdy PU material. The chain won't rust. The handle has a loop for grasping or hanging.

This is a very classy and sexy looking whip that packs quite a wallop. I can either strike hard or use the tails gently over skin. The tails are soft and sensuous as well as long-lasting and sturdy. These are tails that can take a beating - and give one! The cost is very reasonable and it's of the Nick Hawk GIGOLO brand. I like the swiveling aspect best. That swivel makes this whip very easy on my wrist and arm in general. Plus it's a kick-ass looking whip! I highly recommend it.

Don’t Call Me Baby is a fast paced, very adventurous romantic novel that will take readers on a roller coaster ride of scorching romantic fun. The main character, Catherine, is a woman after my own heart. She is young and fiercely independent, and beyond gorgeous. She is not wealthy, but she wants to live the good life and is not afraid to go get it. She is also very sexually liberated, and in the 1980’s this was sometimes a good thing, and sometimes a not so good thing. The story is so blisteringly hot and steamy; it’s difficult to put down. It took me back to a better time, and a time I enjoyed much more. It is a novel I truly enjoyed reading, and will definitely be reading time and time again. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it’s also not to be missed.

So many men, so little time. Catherine has a long list of men that she sees on a regular basis, and at the top of the list (for the moment, anyway) is Brian. He’s one of her professors at Quincy, and a married man, but that’s never been a problem. But he’s so demanding! So maybe some time apart will be just the trick. A summer theater camp at another local college for local teens should make him realize that Catherine is not his possession, right? That is, until she gets to the camp and meets the other counselors. Ryan is gorgeous, and the rest? Well, what’s a girl on her own to do? Why, enjoy as many as she can! In the meantime, Catherine will come to grips with her mind and her heart, and will figure out what she really wants in life.

Book Blurb for Don't Call Me Baby

DON'T CALL ME 'BABY' is a fast-paced, quick-witted, sexy, novel about a young woman exploring her sexuality and the cultural morés she collides with on a daily basis.

It's 1983 in Maryland and Catherine Stone is sex on wheels. She plays the field the way men have done for aeons. Not content to strive for her MRS degree like so many young women her age, she seduces men of all stripes – married college professors, theatre students, virgins, complete strangers who intrigue her. She has already cost one man his job.

She asks herself lots of questions on her search to enjoy her sexuality. Why don't other women enjoy their sex as much as she does? Why do so many women and men look down on sexually free women, calling them sluts while sexually free men are called studs and Lotharios? She bucks at the double standards! Catherine has made no commitment to any man. She's free to explore and she gladly does so. No man can tie her down and no woman's judgment will stop her from playing the field to her heart's content.

Does she meet her match in a new man who introduces her to sexual bliss she had never before experienced? When she tries multiple partners and bondage for the first time as a submissive, she believes she's found the sexual bliss she is looking for – and with a man who not only introduces her to the fineries in life but also cares about her like no man ever has before.

Excerpt

[Intro: Catherine Stone is my heroine and the book's main character. She has taken a summer job at a college camp. Ryan is the older college professor in charge of the camp. KC (aka Casey) is one of the counselors who becomes one of Catherine's closest friends. DJ teaches drama at the camp. They are currently in an orientation meeting before camp begins.]

At that moment, a young man ran into the room in a blaze of jeans and oversized t-shirt. He tossed his backpack behind the chair next to DJ, and then plopped into a seat.
“Nice of you to drop by, KC.” Ryan said.
“Sorry I'm late. Ran a bit behind this morning.” He gave the crowd a big toothy grin, and leaned back in his chair until the front two legs were off the ground. Oh, boy. This guy is going to be fun. “Okay, alarm didn't go off. But I'm here. So… did I miss anything?”
“Not yet, but you did manage to be the center of attention again,” Ryan tried to sound miffed, but Catherine saw his dimples deepen as he tried not to smile. “We just did introductions. You can get to know everyone here a bit later. Now, I need to get started.”
The orientation went well. Catherine kept her legs up on the table, showing them off, and her stunt did not get past KC. His eyebrows shot up, and he blew a kiss in her direction. Catherine couldn't help but like him immediately. He seemed to be the type of guy who didn't take a thing seriously, and she liked to surround herself with people like that. KC’s silly mood was infectious, and soon with his carousing and smart-mouthed funny comments, everyone at the table was laughing. Monica and Ryan assigned each worker to a class. DJ and Catherine were to teach drama.
“I brought my accordion again,” KC said. “You know how much the kids loved me last year.”
“They cringed, KC,” DJ said. “Did you actually watch them when you played Freebird? On the accordion? You were not cool, dude. Try as you might.”
“I was the coolest guy in the room. You're just jealous because you can't pick out Freebird on that tin-plated noise machine you play.”
“It's a 12-string steel guitar, and I can pick out Freebird just fine.”
“Looks like Miss Longest-Legs-in-the-Universe here is also a guitarist. You two can play the theme to Deliverance to really get the kids in a good mood.”
“How'd you know I play the guitar?” Catherine stretched her legs in response to KC's ribbing. Her movement did not get past Ryan's attention. That pleased her to no end.
“I saw you arrive, and you hoisted that guitar over your head. I see a threesome in your future - no, not that kind! Get your mind out of the gutter!!” He laughed at his own joke, and so did everyone in the room, including Catherine. “Us, on guitars. You, DJ, and I. Scaring the kids to death with our bad renditions of Kumbaya. And there's no need to look so horrified. DJ is used to me picking on him. It's all in good fun. We've been best friends since we were in fourth grade.”
“And we've been at each other's throats ever since.” DJ said. “I'm glad we're going to teach the drama classes, Catherine. Your suggestion of improvs is perfect. After the meeting, want to do some brainstorming?”
“Sounds good to me. I have lots of good ideas.”
“Don't let him hog all the ideas,” KC said. “He's a born monopolizer.”
“Speak for yourself.”
“I do. All the time.” He winked at her, and DJ busted out laughing. It was good to see DJ's handsome smile. It made his demeanor seem less standoffish. She figured out his relationship with Casey. They balanced each other out very nicely. DJ was the imposing Pontiac GTO and Casey was the Triumph Spitfire.
When Monica learned that Catherine played the piano, guitar, and flute, she immediately added her name to the list of people to play music around the campfire at night. DJ would join her on the guitar and KC on the accordion. What is it with the initials for names around here? Did their parents name them by choosing two different blocks from a game of Scrabble? It wasn't required that she play every night, but it sure sounded like fun.
Once the meeting was over, and everyone left the room to go about their business, Catherine ran until she caught up with KC and DJ. But she didn't leave without giving Ryan a coy smile and a wiggle of her hips. His gaze traveled to parts of her body that would have been considered impolite in mixed company. She didn't turn to see Ryan watch her as she wiggled her way out into the hall towards KC and DJ.
“Here she is, the girl with the longest legs in the world. And damn! You're short!”
She looked up at KC. “I'm five foot nothing. Most of it legs. You are what? Six feet?”
“Six foot two. So you and my buddy DJ are going to run the acting workshops for the kids?”
“Sure looks that way. It sounds like fun. I know lots of theatre exercises we could try on the kids. They make great icebreakers, too.”
“Well, I'll leave you two kids to your theatre business,” KC said. “I haven't unpacked yet, and I want to get myself settled in. See you two at dinner?”
“Yeah. What does KC stand for anyway?”
“Kevin Collins. I go by '‘Casey,’ C-A-S-E-Y. Emphasis on the first syllable. I'll see you two later.”
He ran off before either of them could answer, which struck Catherine as something he did on a regular basis. Looks like you met your match, girl. Being around Casey could be exhausting, and she had only a little bit of exposure to him. How was she going to survive two weeks of “Whirlwind Casey”? She wasn't the least bit attracted to him, and she didn't want to fuck him, but he was far too much fun to ignore. He'd be a good friend to have in her corner if she needed one. And she wanted to make friends with him regardless of what gossip might erupt about her sexual activities, and there was bound to be some sooner or later.

Fantastic 4 Star Review For "Climbing Her Tower"

Four Stars!

Climbing Her Tower is an erotic twist to the fairy tale Rapunzel. I sure love a good fairy tale and this hot and steamy tale doesn’t disappoint.

Rapunzel has never known life outside her tower. She has never felt the company of a human being other than Mother, and she has never been in close contact with a man - until Prince Richard of Norwich climbs into her tower one dark night and sweeps her off her feet. Prince Richard introduces Rapunzel to erotic pleasures beyond her wildest dreams, and she wants more! In order to make her both his wife and his sex slave, Prince Richard needs to spirit her away from that tower, but Mother stands in his way. Prince Richard and Rapunzel begin a tantalizing and dangerous adventure in order to be together as one. And "let down your hair" takes on an entirely new meaning in their fevered embraces.
Rapunzel’s been trapped in her tower for twenty two years. Her scary mother refuses to let her leave. She dreams about being able to leave her tower, but she has nowhere to go and no one to go to. Rapunzel gazes out the window, dreaming. She sees a centaur and looking at his fine form and lovely flanks, she feels and unfamiliar feeling, making her squirm inside. When he comes closer, she realizes it is a man on a horse, a fine looking man that makes her feel flushed.

Prince Richard has seen Rapunzel from the distance. He is ruler of Norwich where Rapunzel resides in her tower. When he hears her sing he is captivated. He hears how her mother gets in and gets in the same way, Rapunzel letting down her hair not knowing it is not her mother.

Rapunzel has had no dealings with men, only what her mother has read to her in books. The thought of him taking her like the gods do in books, excites her. Prince Richard cannot believe how beautiful Rapunzel is. She is pure and innocent and goes up in flames when he touches her. She lets him touch her any way he wants, instantly does anything he says. She is naturally submissive to this kinky dominant Prince. Her enjoyment of everything he shows her and does to her binds Prince Richard to Rapunzel. He is as obsessed with her as she is with him. On one visit he tells her that her mother is not her mother but actually a witch. In the days between his visits when she is alone, she masturbates as he has taught her. Her mood swings between his visits makes the witch suspicious. Then the witch catches them!

Climbing Her Tower had more than just Rapunzel squirming! Hot and delicious Prince Richard is a dream. A bit kinky, but that just makes him more interesting. The picture I had of Rapunzel as she was described bit by bit over the course of the tale had me laughing. Maybe that was just my own odd ball view. Prince Richard seemed to love everything about her. I enjoyed every bit of this except one small section. Prince Richard becomes a submissive to Cinderella’s Fairy God-Mother (I’m sure there is a story there!). It just seemed superfluous and totally out of character and seemed to have no real context to the rest of the book. But it was still a hot scene! Climbing Her Tower was loads of fun and if you follow every erotic fairy tale you come across like I do, you are in for a treat.

4 out of 5 Stars For "Trouble In Thigh High Boots"

Fantastic review for Trouble In Thigh High Boots!

Hitherandthee of Night Owl Reviews has reviewed Trouble In Thigh High Boots by Elizabeth  Black.

Title: Trouble In Thigh High Boots
Authors: Elizabeth  Black
Score: 4.00 / 5
Review Date: Oct 18, 2012

Trouble in Thigh High Boots is a delightfully creative retelling of the Puss in Boots tale. It is a tale that has been told myriad times, but never in such a wonderfully imaginative way. The characters are enchanting, and the story flows beautifully. The love scenes are sizzling. I do think it could be developed into a longer novel, but as it stands is perfect for a reader seeking a book not too long or too involved but still full of adventure and romance. All in all this was an enchanting retelling of a classic fairy tale done in a totally new way. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Tita is a woman who knows exactly how to get what she wants. She has an invaluable weapon in her arsenal, and the quick cunning of a fox. What is her most valuable weapon? She is able to shift into a beautiful cat effortlessly. When her feline form is entrusted to the care of her former master’s youngest son, she knew he would take good care of her. In return for his care, she decides to give him the life he deserves, one of wealth and prestige and the king’s ear. Her only obstacles are his scheming, sleazy older brother Zane and a repulsive ogre. But once Tita sets her mind to a task, she never fails to achieve her goals. Take a walk with a gorgeous Puss in boots and meet the charming people she has chosen to love.

Sex Toy Review: Dr. Laura Berman's Intimate Basics Aphrodite Massager

I love Dr. Laura Berman's Intimate Basics Aphrodite Infrared Rechargeable Massager! I needed this one desperately for the very sore area beneath my right shoulder blade and my right hip. I'm at my computer all the time, usually typing out a story or review, so I needed this massager to get me through my daily routine without a lot of pain from all the intense hand, arm and back movement. Here are the specs so let's get them out of the way:
Bulk Weight: 21.3(oz) / 0.6(kg) The Dr. Laura Berman Intimate Basics Collection™ is designed by women, for women to give you and your partner exactly what you need; color, ergonomic designs, discreet packaging, superior quality, quiet and powerful devices. “The sure thing” as seen on TV” Multi-purpose design for muscle relaxation and erogenous zone stimulation Massaging head has a flexo-joint so it moves with you 3 high quality Silicone sleeves to personalize your pleasure 2 speeds of vibration with infrared heat provides soothing sensations ABS (massager, control panel) Silicone (attachments) PVC (flexible neck) PC (head) 110 Volt AC/ rechargeable batteries included Charger included 12.5”x 3.25”/ 31.75 cm x 8.25 cm (overall) 2.5”/ 6.25 cm (attachments diameter)
This massager has a bit of heft but it's comfortable to hold. I like to lie back on the couch with the massager positioned just below my right shoulder blade. With the massager between my back and the couch, it does its job just fine. The infrared portion really warms up quite a bit, and the heat worked wonders on my sore back. It comes with three rubber attachments: 1) a nubby attachment, 2) a smooth one, and 3) a pointed one with a rounded end. I like the nubby best because it gives the most intense massage over a broader area. I'd use the pointed one on my back but right now I'm far too sore. The nubby one works much better without putting me into too much pain.

Whilst this massager may be used as a sex toy, since those vibrations and the heat would feel scrumptious on my pussy, I chose to use it strictly as a massager. At least for the time being. :) I put this massager through quite a workout so it's a good thing it has a flexible head that moves with me as I put pressure on it.

It charges up very quickly and holds the charge all day long. I plugged it into the wall in my storage room. I prefer massagers and sex toys with chargers because that way I don't have to mess with batteries. Chargers make my life so much easier. If you like massagers like the various magic wands on the market, you'll love Aphrodite because she gives the deep tissue massage you crave plus that infrared portion will heat you up like nothing every has before. This is a very fine massager. I highly recommend it. Dr. Laura Berman puts out some good intimate products.

Sex Toy Review: Butterfly Kiss

Butterfly Kiss is a delightfully wicked little G-spot vibrator and clitoral stimulator. Rabbit-like in design, it's even waterproof so I enjoy it in the bath. I like the soft TPR material. It moves with me, unlike other more rigid vibrators that can feel a tad uncomfortable. The bulbous end gives me lots of G-spot and vaginal stimulation whilst the clitoral tickler teases my clit. I can turn either on alone or both at once, and I prefer them both at high speed. I get three speeds and this vibrator runs for a very long time on 3 AAA batteries.

I used a little lubricant so the shaft would slide in easier, and it did just fine. I wiggled around on the waterbed in ecstasy, whilst this little vibe moved about inside me with ease. It's shaped in such a way that it's easy to hold. It's not heavy, which is a good thing because heavy sex toys tend to wear my wrist out. And it comes in a pretty pink or blue. I used the blue one. My orgasms were so intense I curled up into a tight ball and made little squeaky kitten noises. I highly recommend this vibrator especially for use in the bath. It's lightweight. I had powerful orgasms using it. The batteries last for ever. I got both internal and external stimulation - simultaneously! You can't go wrong with the Butterfly Kiss.

Sex Toy Review: Charisma Tryst

My little Charisma Tryst, from California Exotics is the perfect travel companion. This delightful vibrator is made of soft ABS material, so it's skin-safe for my use and enjoyment. The tip is curved so it hits my G-spot perfectly. The ribbed shaft gives me extra stimulation as it massages my lips and vagina.

I like all ten speed, vibration, and pulsation patterns, especially the steady purr and the fast tapping. To turn the vibe off I just press on the button at the base, hold it down for a moment, and the vibrations cease. This vibrator is very easy to use. Pop in one AAA battery and it's ready to please me!

Best of all, it's perfect for travel. It's tiny - only about three inches long. I travel to writer's conventions often and I like to go out of town for mini-vacations. I can't take a huge, honking vibrator with me. Imagine the looks I'll get from TSA if an agent pulls a foot-long purple glitter dildo out of my luggage. Ha! So this vibrator, which doesn't even look much like a vibrator, is perfect for me. I put it in a side pocket and it slips through check-in as easily as it slips inside me.

This is a very pretty and compact vibrator. It comes in pink or black, and I have the pink one. The silver band around the base gives it a classy look. This powerful and quiet vibrator is perfect for my bed stand or for my suitcase when I travel.

Sex Toy Review: Dr. Philgood's Non-Vibrating Dildo

When Dr. Philgood's Non-Vibrating Dildo arrived in the mail, I had to make sure I wasn't imagining what I looked at. This thing is huge! I'm talking the Mecca-Dongzilla Of Dildos. It can level Japan with one orgasm. So I knew I wanted it inside me but pronto.

Now for a little background. This dildo is modeled after Phil Varone's cock. Varone is the former drummer for Skid Row and Saigon Kick. He also toured with Vince Neil of Motley Crue. The guy is a legend. He's also a player with a special love for his female groupies - by the thousands. According to the Urban Dictionary, back in the day these kinds of men were called rakes, and they go well with hoes. You'll find both rakes and hoes commingling together in garden tool sheds today. So it's only fitting that a sex toys company would mould a dildo based on Phil's quite impressive attributes. It even includes his Prince Albert piercing. Gotta keep things as realistic as possible, since plenty of women have enjoyed Phil's deliciousness.

I'm not one of them so this dildo will have to do. And does it ever do it!

It's quite an intimidating sex toy. A real man has this attached to him? How does he walk? I played with it in my hands first. Since there is so much of it, it's easy to grab. If I don't want to grab it with my hands I can stick it to any flat and smooth surface thanks to the suction cup at the base. If only I had a cardboard cut-out of Phil Varone! I know exactly where I'd stick the dildo. :)

The Better-Than-Real® Plus material is very soft and very realistic. It feels like real human flesh. The dildo is also quite solid but it has lots of give. It's like handling a real penis, even one the size of an Angus bull's cock. It's a light color with just enough pink to make it look realistic. There are plenty of veins and texture. Plus there's that piercing. It's like icing on the cake.

I used some lube to make entrance easier, and it didn't disappoint. It split me like an oak tree. There's nothing quite as wonderful as having Horse Cock inside you. I felt very filled up and not the least bit uncomfortable. I've had real cocks this size inside me and some of them don't completely inflate. This one is rock solid hard and stays that way for as long as I want to fuck with it. The piercing was a new experience for me. I've never been with a pierced man. The piercing managed to home in on my G-spot in just the right way.

Suffice to say I had some powerful, knee-knocking, writhe-on-your-side-and-scream-for-Jesus orgasms. The dildo wanted to go longer but I just couldn't anymore. I wonder if the real Phil lasts as long as his dildo does?

So there you have it. I own a Rock Star Dildo. All the rumors about Phil Varone's cock are true. He is really built like a telephone pole, and he has the sex toy to prove it. If you are in the mood to be pinned to your bed by a heavy duty dong this is the sex toy for you. Ladies, it's huge, it never goes limp, and it leaves the toilet seat down. Guys, it's just unbelievable. You won't sit down for days and that's a good thing. This is a dildo wet dreams are made of.

Book Review: Best Lesbian Erotica 2012

Best Lesbian Erotica 2012
Edited by Kathleen Warnock

I have always enjoyed reading lesbian literature. It's not nearly as popular as other forms of erotic literature, like paranormals, bondage, steampunk, and male/male. I tend to not follow the trends anyway. Show me a good lesbian story and I'll show you a happy reader. Lesbian fiction is catching on now so maybe soon it will get the attention it deserves.

I enjoyed “Best Lesbian Erotica 2012”, which didn't surprise me. Each story was unique and very arousing. Being bisexual, I of course enjoy good sapphic fiction. The following stories were my favorites:

“Blood Lust” by Giselle Renard. I’ve never thought of cutting as particularly sexy but I can see how it can be a sexual release with this story. The bloodletting was incredibly arousing, moreso than I expected it to be. This one was a new experience for me. I welcome new experiences.

“The Produce Queen” by Michelle Brennan. I love stories with fruit and veggies as erotic tools. This one delivers!

“Rebel Girl” by Kirsty Logan. This very sexy tale had two women dancing around each other for the longest time before they consummated their relationship. I liked that they started off with men who were not nearly as sexy as they were together.

“Touched” by Amy Butcher. I grew up Catholic and went to a Catholic school so I know how repressive these places can be. I don’t know what was sexier about this story – the anticipation or the incessant flirting. This story is a promise of things to come and things that had been. I liked the cognitive dissonance in the girl who resisted. That’s so true to life.

As I had expected, every one of these stories was highly sensuous, very arousing, and well-written. I’m not into the Penthouse Letters variety of erotic writing. These stories turned me on in more ways than I could count. These writers are very talented and it shows in the wide variety of stories to read. You can count on Babeland to deliver fantastic erotic literature and sex toys.

Book Review: Lust: Erotic Fantasies For Women

Lust – Erotic Fantasies for Women
Edited by Violet Blue

I am always on the lookout for good erotic fiction to read. Too much of it comes across like Penthouse Letters when I'm looking for something hot to not only turn me on but wow me as far as good writing goes. I can always count on a good, hot read from books published by Cleis Press.

“Lust – Erotic Fantasies for Women” is a fantastic collection of 17 stories written by a wide variety of female authors. I'm already familiar with quite a few of them. Two stories stood out for me.

"Tied To The Kitchen Sink" by Kay Jaybee had me wishing I received such a fantastic birthday present! Will walks into his friend Ben's kitchen to find a naked (save the thigh high boots) and shapely woman tied to his kitchen sink. She's his birthday present. I won't say what happens next but it's quite amusing and sexy as hell.

In “Golden Hand” by K. L. Gillespie, a woman pickpocket reaches into a man's pocket on a crowded train... and gets a big surprise! I kept waiting for someone else on the train to notice what was going on. This has to be the sexiest train jerking off story I've ever read, and I've read a few.

All of these stories are well-written and highly erotic. I wish I could write like this and I aim towards the high quality of these stories. Each is a tidbit of about 5,000 words – short enough to enjoy during a quick lunch hour but long enough to make you wet and eager for release. If you're looking for good, well-written erotic literature, this is a great book for you.

Look to Good Vibrations for the best in erotic literature and sex toys.

Love Diamond By California Exotics

I was given the Love Diamond for review and I must say this is a fine sex toy.

You know what I like best about this rabbit? It's soft and thick. Yes, I like to feel impaled when I get down to it. This rabbit does the trick quite well.

The shaft is realistic looking and feeling. It also rotates and vibrates in 8 different levels. Talk about knee-knocking! There is also a jewel build near the tip of the shaft to home in on that delicious spot inside me that makes me mewl like a kitten when it's touched. The controls are easy to use. They are touch sensitive and they light up so I may see them in the dark or beneath my sheets. The vibrations are fairly quiet although I prefer dead silence from my sex toys - or at the very least a low-level hum. The colors are also pleasant - pink and silver with clear TPR as the main material of the shaft and clit bumper.

Ah, the clit bumper. This baby is broad enough to cover my entire clitoral area but the tip homes right in on that sucker. When I position the rabbit just right it takes my breath away. I like the vibrations just this side of so-intense-I-go-numb. I also love the steady hum of the vibrations. I come hard and fast in no time at all. So, all in all this is a wonderful rabbit vibrator. Rabbits have come a long way since I bought my first one over a decade ago. They're high tech and full of variations now. And there's no turning back.

Sex Toy Review: Glitter Glam Triple Play

If there's one thing I love, it's triple play. I love feeling my buttonhole and vagina plugged up whilst my clit is getting some much needed attention. My husband often does that for me with his fingers, making him look like he's holding me like I'm a bowling ball. It works and I come real hard but it's murder on his hands.

So when I saw the Glitter Glam Triple Play I knew I had to have it. This is a rabbit with something extra - it includes an anal stimulator probe.

The thing I like best about Glitter Glam - aside of the triple action I get on my clit, vagina, and anus - is that the shaft is nice and thick. I like to hump tree trunks, if you get my drift. This baby is thick! Plus there are 200 different pulsation, vibration, and escalation patterns. I like the steadier ones and the fast-pulsing ones best.

The clit bumper is broad and long, covering my entire clitoral area. I like the entire area to be stimulated, not just my clit itself. Sometimes I'm too sensitive for direct, pinpoint stimulation. The anal probe is made of soft TPR as is the vibrator itself. The rotating beads give me great internal massage, overpowering me with so many different sensations as the Glitter Glam works its magic on me that I'm beside myself. As with most rabbits, each section is covered with its own motor. I sometimes like to turn on the clitoral stimulator by itself without the shaft moving or the anal probe vibrating. But wow, that shaft! As usual, it turns me on so much I clamp down on it and it stops moving. My Kegel muscles work just fine, thank you very much.

The controls are easy to use. I just have to remember where they are so I may press the right ones without looking at them. They escalate in speed and vibration so much I'm beside myself with erotic glee. Those controls also light up so I may see them beneath the sheets or in the dark of my bedroom. That light makes life much easier.

This is a big vibrator that I ended up wielding like a weapon and that's the only drawback I could see - it's big and bulky. A bit noisy too but not too much. This isn't the kind of sex toy I'd take with me on holiday since it would take up a lot of room in my luggage and the maid would faint at the sight of it. Still, it's perfect for my alone time at home. I keep it in its box beneath my bed for when the mood strikes. So when I'm in the mood for a little triple play bowling ball action, I pull out the Glitter Glam. It fills me up and then some and it gives me both anal and clitoral stimulation. This is one very fine sex toy! No wonder rabbits are a girl's best friend.

Don't Let Bad Reviews Get You Down

Don't Feel Bad About Bad Reviews
Elizabeth Black

I remember my first bad review. I was devastated. The person leaving the review wasn't very kind. She bitched and moaned about the book in such a way I could tell she was angry. I had no idea why should would be so angry over a book. I guess that was a couple of hours of her life she would never get back.

That review stopped me dead in my tracks for a couple of weeks. I couldn't write anything. Even the good reviews I received couldn't counteract the horrible feelings I had over this one lousy stinking review. Once I had a few more good reviews under my belt I felt better enough to write again.

I even had a bad review from someone who read only about two pages of the book. How can you write a review when you haven't read the !@#$% book?!?

I've since learned about drive-by-reviews, sock puppets, and people who give one star reviews to books they've never read in genres they don't like merely because they want to blow an artery. Lots of people give erotica and erotic romance books one star reviews because they get a hair up their butts over the genres and the racy content. Those reviews are bogus. So now I don't take the bad reviews so seriously anymore. I learn from the valid ones and if I'm able to I improve the book or short story as much as I can.

All that aside, every writer gets sucky reviews. It's a part of a writer's life. I thought it would be amusing to look at one star reviews of classic novels. Some are quite astounding. It's clear the people in question don't read much. Or in the case of Elizabeth Cady Stanton's “The Women's Bible”, they don't know their history. The most amusing one is the one below left about Jane Austen's “Emma”. Just because someone doesn't like your book doesn't mean the book is bad. Much of it is a matter of taste. I for instance don't like J. R. R. Tolkein, much to the utter chagrin of my husband who is a huge fan.

So read these one star reviews of classics and feel better about your own writing. All misspellings and poor grammar are in the original reviews.

Elizabeth Black – Web Site And Blog

Emma by Jane Austen
[I seriously believe this review is a Poe, as in we're being trolled. I'm mean, come on. The critic can't spell the word “stole” but she correctly spells “coincidences”? LOL]]

Best I can figure this Jane Auston woman stoll the plot of Clueless and rote a book. Too many coincidences to make me believe anything else. Why Alecia Sivlerstone doesn't sue Jane Austin is beyond me!

Seriously, this book is just convoluted and boring. I can't believe this is called a classic. Its terrible and the educators at certain high schools should not force this book upon kids--it lowers their grades and intelligence.

Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson

It's truly mind boggling how this book got the reputation it now has. I finally read it after being encouraged by so many of my friends who considered it genius. Simply put, the writing is immature and pointless, full of "craziness for its own sake" with a few lame attempts at cultural criticism thrown in to try to give it some legitimacy. The only thing I can say for this book is that perhaps it was somewhat original when it was written, but that hardly qualifies it as great literature, or even as literature. If it weren't so horrendously overrated and made no further pretentions than to be a mildy amusing story, it might have found a semi-respectable place in some obscure niche as comedy writing, but as it has been trumped all around as some groundbreaking example of an insightful cross-breed of journalism and literature, I can't bestow upon it any higher title than "Garbage." I suggest reading this only in that it is necessary to understand the infantile minds that cling fervidly to its pages. You will learn something about our culture, yes. What you will learn is how terribly the idea of literature has been degraded that such a book could be so praised by supposedly literate people.

Catch 22 by Joseph Heller

I bought this book because of all the "good" reviews it recieved. I am always interested when an author's work trancends it own era, there by being relevant at anytime in the future. However, this is not one of those. Aside from the obsurd and unbelievable situation Yosarrian is in, the book was, in a word....MONOTONOUS! It is not the amount of characters, nor the repetative back story of each character that Heller takes every opportunity tell us, but it is more the repetive, cliche' discussions that yossarian has with just about every character he come across. It goes like this, "Your crazy. No I am not. Maybe I am. Maybe you are too becuase you are here and you think I am crazy. Oh yeah, maybe I am crazy too, blah blah blah." I really wish I would have spent the money on cookbook instead, or really anything other than this. If you can find this book at a garage sale, do not pay more than a quarter for it.
But..
If you like unbelievable war stories, long drawn out repetative character back stories, shallow dialog, and no real point, then this book is for you!

Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone By J. K. Rowling

I know that this is an enormously popular series, and I've tried quite hard to like it (I have read all the books), but I can't get past the copious shortcomings of Harry Potter. For one thing, it's terribly overwraught; the supreme clumsiness and obviousness with which the writer tries to manipulate our emotions is totally laughable. In fact, I can't believe that even children fall for it. Not to mention the fact that there is no room for humanity is any of the "villains". None of them are shown to have any redeeming features at all; they are so one dimensional that they might as well be called "bad guy one", "bad guy two" and so on. Nor is there ever any opportunity for them to be forgiven or to be allowed to make amends. The story very much promotes an "us and them" attitude among the heroes. Even when one of the bad guys offers to make up he is rejected by Harry. Also, it promotes kids lying and stealing to get what they want (the end oh-so justifies the means); it encourages cliquiness and a ruthlessness towards opponents (win at all costs!). This is certainly nothing new, and neither is the advocation of disrespect and disobedience towards authority, but it grates just the same.
The writing and plot themselves are terribly derivative. There are many far more intelligent and original books out there for children.
All in all, I'd not recommend this book to anyone.

The Lord Of The Rings By J. R. R. Tolkien
[Author's note: I hated this book. I simply can't get into it.]

I hope the movie is better than the book. The book is not readable because of the overuse of adverbs. It just isn't well written. Quickly and quietly..., swiftly and quietly, etc.

[Review was entitled “Aweful”. LOL]
This series is horrible beyond all conception. Tolkien overbloats EVERYTHING to the point where it's absolutely ridiculous, and I loose tract of the plot amidst unimportant details. Quite frankly my only thought is I DON'T CARE WHO EVERYONE'S FATHER IS, IF YOU WANT ME TO KNOW THEN WRITE A PREQUEL, JUST TELL THE STORY IT IDIOTIC BRIT! I don't know how someone who wrote something as good as "The Hobbit" could produce this junk. I think what happened was he had a bunch of notes left over, and wanted to cash in by writing a sequel, so he threw all the details he had onto a shallow plot, but sense it was to complicated to be called "dumbed-down" like most money-making sequels noone could attack it. And it was so complicated people have been trying to convince others for decades that they're intellegent because they can understand this book, but since noone understands it, noone can test them to see if they really do or not. Anyway, if you want a complicated plot you can understand, read "Dune" by Frank Herbert.

American Gods By Neil Gaiman
[Even Neil Gaiman isn't immune to bad reviews.]

BORING.
Huge build up about a war amongst Gods...
Incessant and irrelevant descriptions...
No real demonstrations of Godly Power (or any action for that matter)...
Pointless acid-trip dream sequences...
The War itself... less than 2 pages.
Gaiman managed to make a war uneventful.

A concept that should have been action packed and epic...
Gives a novella's worth of substance.
-Couldve been told in 30 pages

The Women's Bible by Elizabeth Cady Stanton
[One of numerous reviews by Christian women miffed that this wasn't the kind of Bible they expected Also, some had obviously never heard of Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Did they fall asleep during that portion of history class? They also didn't seem to understand the book is over 100 years old and a first wave feminist classic.]

I was completely surprised and repulsed by its feminist stance. I couldn't bear to read much of it as I believe the Bible is the unerring Word of God. Women's stature in organized church has grown significantly and I would not want my daughter's and granddaughter's minds poisoned by these ideas. I have several women friends who have gone into the ministry and have been very successful. I know this is an old writing but it came off my Kindle the minute I saw the problems Stantan had been trying to express. She must have been a terribly abused girl to have such bitterness.

-----

And finally, a bad review I can get behind.

Twilight By Stephenie Meyer

I started this book two days ago. I'm currently more than 200 pages in, and I can't finish this, man. I just don't think I have the strength.

Seriously? This is what everyone is freaking out over? I've read better fan fiction on Livejournal. Really, truly, waaaaaay better. Like, with sparkling, funny, romantic dialogue, great characters, the whole shebang. This book is..well, crap. Sorry, I tried to like it, but...yeah. No go.

The major problem I have is that I just don't care about any of the characters. Meyer's character development isn't just lacking...it's absent. I don't know these people, and therefore I don't care about them. Describing their appearance (barely) isn't an adequate substitute for developing their personalities. Also, they make no sense. Is Bella a hottie? A plane Jane? Who the heck can tell? Boys at her old school don't know she's alive, but the second she gets to Forks she's Miss America. Boys in Phoenix are blind, maybe? There's a toxic waste dump in Forks that makes all the native residents fugly, and Bella is hawt by comparison? What is it, Stephenie? Come on now. How can I like this protagonist? Bella is boring. She's not funny, she's not even mildly amusing. All she does is fawn over Edward. I know that teenage girls always have and always will fawn over boys, but really, this is ridiculous. That's the only freaking thing she does. Everyone else has said this, but she's really only just a sounding board for wonderful, perfect, muscular, adonis-like, perfect faced Edward. She could have had one aspiration at least, yeah? Some Mary-Sues have aspirations, right? Right?

Note to Stephenie Meyer: Use a thesaurus and come up with some new words, please. She said clumsily. While glaring. And blushing.

Sex Toy Review: Rechargeable Precious Metals Jewels - The Princess

I'm always on the lookout for a new and innovative vibrator, especially a rabbit, which happens to be one of my favorites. So imagine my delight when I discovered the Rechargeable Precious Metals Jewels - The Princess. I like this vibrator for several reasons. It's a rabbit. It's rechargeable in a very unusual way. It's called "The Princess", which is one of my nicknames.

I chose the purple Princess since purple is one of my favorite colors. What I thought was very innovative about this vibe was that it recharges on my computer! It has a USB port. Now that's different. Of course, my computer is out in the open so I wrapped the Princess in a small towel so prying (and embarrassed) eyes wouldn't see it. The cat sure wanted it, though. He tried to play with it, thinking it was a very expensive cat toy. Go away, furball.

It didn't take long for the Princess to charge. The controls were also user-friendly. You don't know how to read to use them. The images on the buttons say it all. Plus those buttons light up so I can see in the dark. I enjoyed all four vibration and rotation speeds, especially the faster speeds on the clit stimulator. The shaft was nice and thick, just the way I like it. The Princess is unlike many men. It can last forever. It doesn't squirt cum all over you. It doesn't deflate after it's finished. And it rotates and vibrates. The moment human males are selected by evolution to have rotating and vibrating penises, the human race will explode in more ways than one!

Until then, we women will enjoy rabbit vibrators like the Princess. And these vibrators have lasting power!

I used a little lubricant on the head so that the Princess slid into me without a problem. Oh it was thick! There was plenty to grip and thanks to my Ben Wa balls I'm very good at gripping. The clit stim was in the right location. It's also a rather broad clit stim so it not only teased my clit, it also vibrated against my labia. The shaft felt nice and soft, since it's made of TPR. It moved with me and was flexible enough to have some give. It was far from rigid. It was shaped a bit like the Michelin Man so it had its own texture as it slid in.

The vibrations felt excruciatingly wonderful both inside my pussy and outside against my clit and labia. I pressed the buttons over and over again to try out different speeds and rotations. As usual, my pussy was so tight it stopped the rotations in their tracks. Those Ben Wa balls did their job! When I came - which wasn't too long after insertion - I had to bite my lip from crying out and making too much noise.

And that brings me to the only disadvantage of the Princess - it's loud. I'm used to quieter vibrators so when this one roared I was afraid my family heard it in the next room. I doubt it but still, I get paranoid. When it's beneath the blankets and inside me it's considerably quieter. I'm not sure why it's loud but it's not the quietest vibrator I've ever used.

Aside of the buzzing, the Princess is a fantastic rabbit vibrator that is rechargeable. I love rechargeable vibes because they're so much easier to deal with. No batteries to run out! I highly recommend the Princess but remember it's a bit noisy. Otherwise, this is one vibrator you should add to your sex toys collection. You may find this vibrator at California Exotics.

Intensity By Jopen

When I first heard about Intensity by Jopen I was intrigued. I had written about it before as a blog post so I was already familiar with it. This sex toy did it all. It had g-spot stimulation, rabbit ears to tickle my clit, and a thick shaft. So when I had a chance to try it out and review it for Jopen I couldn't pass up that chance.

This is a luxury vibrator unlike any other. Intensity is designed for both pleasure and for exercising your pelvic floor. When used regularly, you tighten your Kegel muscles which results in a stronger and tighter pelvic floor. Your arousal is more intense. Your orgasms are more intense. And it just feels so damned good! I'm talking knee-knocking, dance on the table in a biker bar intense gleeful bliss.

What makes it special are several things. One, it's made of high-quality silicone. If you're prone to allergic reactions to materials - especially the likes of jelly rubber - you likely won't react to this one. It has G-spot, vaginal, and clitoral stimulation as I already mentioned, It also inflates like a balloon at a carnival - and this is one hell of a carnival! I  just pump the handle whilst the shaft is inside me and I feel it get bigger and bigger. Wow! I liked that filled-up and plugged sensation. Elvis has entered the building! To deflate it I just pressed a small black button on the back of the handle. Then I pulled it out.

Then there are the electrodes at the tip of the shaft. Yes, electrodes. I've used electrosex toys before so I was dying to try this out. I was shocked - shocked, I say! - at how good it felt. When charged up and stimulating me on the inside, my Kegels automatically tightened around the vibrator's inflated shaft. I was so aroused by the intensity (har!) of this sex toy I rose up on the bed, doubled over with pleasure. Important - don't turn on the electrodes unless Intensity is inside you.

The instruction manual made everything plain as day. Directions were very simple. Insert your batteries in the base of the vibrator. Slather some lube on the shaft. Rub on some of the electrode gel on the two electrodes on the shaft. The gel comes in a tube that is included when you buy Intensity. Then, insert the shaft into your vagina and get ready for the ride of your life. Once inside, I inflated it until it felt as good as could be. Don't over-inflate! The two buttons on the left side control the vibrations. I preferred a heavy and intense vibration. The two buttons on the right control the intensity of the stimulations coming from the electrodes. I preferred a milder sensation when it came to the electrode stimulations. i enjoyed four of the five incremental stimulation speeds. As I played I could see the lights on the LED light up, guiding my way.

Overall, Intensity is a fine vibrator and Kegel exerciser. It's not particularly loud so I didn't disturb anyone whilst using it. I especially liked the combination of inflation, vibrations, and electro stimulation. Like I said, I've used electrosex toys before and I like them. This is an expensive vibrator but trust me - it's worth ever red cent. I highly recommend it.

Review: Lust – Erotic Fantasies for Women (Edited By Violet Blue)

I am always on the lookout for good erotic fiction to read. Too much of it comes across like Penthouse Letters when I'm looking for something hot to not only turn me on but wow me as far as good writing goes. I can always count on a good, hot read from books published by Cleis Press.

“Lust – Erotic Fantasies for Women” is a fantastic collection of 17 stories written by a wide variety of female authors. I'm already familiar with quite a few of them. Two stories stood out for me.

'Tied To The Kitchen Sink by Kay Jaybee had me wishing I received such a fantastic birthday present!

Look to Good Vibrations for wonderful erotic literature and sex toys.

Great Review For "Don't Call Me Baby"

"I was impressed with the complexity of this female Casanova. Ms. Black created a woman with so many facets that every female reading will find a little piece of her inside this vivid sexpot. While there were a few scenes from Catherine’s point of view where she mixes up the man’s name, it was not enough to detract from the power of this story. While some may take offense to the story’s content, I believe that if you take the time to read Don’t Call Me Baby, you will find it worthwhile as well as recognize Elizabeth Black’s talent."

w00t!!! It's time for some champagne!!

Great Review For "Women On The Edge Of Space"

I got a great review from Coffee Beans and Love Scenes for my science fiction story published by Circlet Press for Women On The Edge Of Space! (Scroll down to find info on the antho.) My story is "Unfolding Her Wings". The reviewer had this to say about the anthology (highlighting my emphasis):
"The book is an anthology with eclectic authors like Elizabeth Black, Laurel Waterford, Shanna Germain, Cecilia Tan and Danielle Bodnar. These five women lose themselves in this collection of short novels. The dialogue of Black and Tan are priceless as well as their writing styles. While sci-fi isn't my normal genre, I thought I would try it as I am an erotic author myself and love the genre. The romances that all five women have are on the lighter side (vanilla) of erotic but very well written and the endings to every story had me craving more. Aside from not being able to understand the space lingo and circumstances, I was impressed and MUST commend these women for going where no woman has gone before. (Sorry for the bad pun there, couldn't help myself.) If the reader is not a fan of sci-fi and can set aside the outer space and sci-fi lingo, I recommend these shorts for ALL lovers of romance."
I was praised in the same breath as Circlet owner and fab writer Cecilia Tan! Plus Black and Tan is one of my favorite beers. Heh heh. This review made my day. ;)

I Kissed A Girl II Anthology
I Kissed A Girl II: More Virgin Lesbian Storiescontains stories by thirteen authors. All of the stories are pretty good, and they vary in length from just a few pages to about five pages. Each of them is set in a different area or time period, which is good since they all involve lesbians.

* Jet back to the heat of Miami, and be entranced by a goddess, before exploring the rest of the USA to discover a host of erotic lesbian encounters!
Join us as we trot the globe and enjoy out-of-this-world experiences!
The two stories I would like to mention from I Kissed a Girl II are: Queen of Swords By Inara Lavey and Nimble Fingers by Lucy Felthouse.

The first story: Queen of Swords was an excellent read. It takes place in medieval times with a queen Adisa, that is fighting to keep her position. In this story the queen has to give the king an heir or else take part in a tournament to see if another women should take her place. She has sex with one of her servants Lyra, and the author does really well with setting the sex up. It takes place in a marble bathroom and you can feel the excitement in the air. With this story I really loved the setting of the medieval castle and the feelings that it portrayed.

The second story: Nimble Fingers was also an excellent read. This story centers around Jessica, a girl at a bar there to see the band. While watching the band, she really notices the guitarist Samantha and watches her intently. During one of the breaks, Samantha comes over and introduces herself. What follows is a night of sex fun that starts right there in the bar bathroom and ends at Samantha's house. This was a great read, you could feel the tension as the woman were both in the bathroom stall together and you could feel the heat rise all the way up until they got to her house.

Overall I enjoyed all the stories in I Kissed a Girl II: More Virgin Lesbian Stories, but the two I mentioned above stood out the most for me. If you are interested in reading a few quick stories, and don't mind lesbian action, be sure to check out I Kissed a Girl II: More Virgin Lesbian Stories.
