Baton Blog Hop - Welcome!

I'm participating in the Baton Blog Hop in which I pass on the blog baton which has been passed on to me by Liz Adams. I pass it on to three people. Sadly, I've been able to convince only two persons to participate instead of three, so they are linked at the bottom of my post.

Here's the person who passed the baton onto me – the fabulous Liz Adams!

Liz Adams, author of the bestselling erotic fairy tale Alice’s Sexual Discovery in a Wonderful Land, lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. Her short story Amy “Red” Riding’s Hood, an erotic version of Red Riding Hood, won Goodreads’ Book of the Month for October 2012. Liz studied music and creative writing in college before making her writing her career. In her spare time she cuddles with her lover on the couch to watch her favorite shows, and often they work together doing research for her books.

I'm to answer four simple questions about my writing, and here they are. I'm working on many projects right now, including two erotic romances and one family saga/thriller. All three need homes.

1    What are you working on?

I'm working on three novels – "Full Moon Fever" is a tale of two bisexual werewolves and their adventures. They work in a theater as lighting stagehands, and their closest friends-with-benefits are two bisexual female set painters and one gay male dancer. These werewolves are loners; they are not part of a pack. The theater suits them perfectly since they may uproot and move on at a moment's notice, which comes in handy when the locals get wind of what they really are. But they want to settle down and make roots. Can they do it and will their friends join them?

"Alex Craig Has A Threesome" is a tale of a young woman who finds her dream job at a company called Babes, which makes high end, expensive sex dolls. She falls hard for the V. P., Jackson Beale, a worldly man the likes of she's never before seen. He introduces her to a world of decadence. Eating becomes a bacchanal. Her sexual experiences broaden as do her horizons. Alex is in for the ride of her life, and Jackson is guiding the vehicle.

And finally, "Secrets and Lies" is the tale of Kate Stanwood, an ordinary woman thrown into extraordinary circumstances when her father is found murdered. She lives on Caleb's Woe, a Nantucket-like island off the coast of northeastern Massachusetts. Kate's family is full of dark secrets, which she discovers as she investigates her father's death. The appearance of her new friend Dominique Beauvoir on the scene only raises more questions. Why is this woman so eager to get close to Kate's family? This story is about two women who find out who they really are and where they're really from. It's also about what dreadful lengths people will go to to keep family secrets hidden.

2    How does your work differ from other authors' work in the same genre?

My point of view on life is different from many so my characters see their lives from a totally new perspective you don't necessarily see in other erotic romance books. My werewolves are loners. My fairy tales have twists and turns and are very kinky. My heroines are ordinary women thrown into the most difficult circumstances. I choose unusual heroes and heroines. But there is also a happily ever after ending in most cases.

3    Why do you write in your genre?

Because I enjoy it and I make a reasonably decent living at it. I've always enjoyed reading darker works and erotica. I also never give up a chance to watch a good horror movie. Note I said "good". Too many of them are dreck. LOL

4    How does the writing process work?

I don't wait for my muse to be inspired. If I wait, I'll wait forever. I have a routine I follow every day. I do most of my writing in the early morning through early afternoon. I also go for walks on the beach to clear my head when the weather is warm, like it's getting to be now. I write even when I don't feel like it. Just get the words down. The flow will follow. I can always go back and edit later. As long as I'm writing, I feel alive.

And I pass the baton onto John Harper and Delena Silverfox. Alons y!

John Harper

I write poetry that deals with reality.  I do not publish as my writings are very personal.  However I do share my work with certain people who have a special place in my life.  I also write erotic stories for friends.  I am currently working with a friend on a book of short erotic bedtime stories.  I will divulge her name at a later date as I do not want her to feel uncomfortable.  When I write, I am motivated by the people around me.  I live in San Jose, California with my wife, eldest daughter and two female cats.  My world revolves around beautiful women and the naughty thoughts in their heads.  I love to communicate my fantasies and hear theirs.  I have several whom I communicate with on a daily and nightly basis.  We tell each other stories that go no further than our eyes.  I have been told that I am very good at this  :)

Delena Silverfox

Delena Silverfox is a fantasy (erotic) romance author, freelance editor, and exhausted mom of a preschooler. When she's not writing, she's chasing a naked three year-old around a messy house decorated in finger paints and sharpie on the walls. She misses sleep, wants them to bring back Firefly, and has a secret celebrity crush on Alton Brown.
