Six Sentence Sunday #7: An Unexpected Guest


This is my seventh Six Sentence Sunday. Below are six sentences from An Unexpected Guest. This book is up for Book Of The Month for June at Sinclair Books. I'm moving between first and second place. Here are my six sentences. 

She decided it was about time she went after what she wanted instead of waiting for it to come to her. She brushed her lips against his, cool and sweet in the night. His next movement surprised her. Strong hands slid through her hair, gliding and stroking her in a gentle dance of his fingers. She wasn’t expecting such gentleness from a man who seemed ready to burst out of his own skin. Long fingers teased her scalp in a flurry of wicked excitement.

    "Gentle dance of his fingers" - Great description! Slow, sensual, sweet. I like that she's rushing ahead and he's the one slowing things down.
