There was something magical about the ocean in the height of summer. Warm air crackled around me, as if the sky knew this day was going to be special. I stood by the store's back door, drinking a cup of coffee and watching the gulls bob up and down on the ocean's waves.

I minded the t-shirt store Monday through Friday from nine to five. Today, being Friday, was a special day. My heart thundered in my chest. She'll arrive any minute. This was the first time I had interest in a woman more than merely daydreaming about her. I fingered the necklace in my pocket. Am I being too forward giving it to her? What if she doesn't like women? I'd longed for a woman's touch for many years but never found an opportunity until I met Malena.

Malena, her name was an elixir on my lips. Ma - le - na. An orgasm in my mouth. Like a breath of ocean blue, she caught me in the pull of her riptide. Malena, whose hair fell down her back like dark rain during a midnight storm. Her sun-kissed skin glowed the color of the coffee and cream I sipped every morning. She ran a finger down my cheek, bringing prickly heat to the surface. I probably glowed as red as a burn by now.

"Your shyness is so sweet. I love it!" She said. "I've taken notice of your lovely gifts of coffee and danish, and I know they're more than courtesies of a work colleague. I may not have said a word, but I'm not naive."

When she spoke, her voice was so soft I barely heard her but her words revealed my deepest, most intimate fantasies. Her fingers weaved through my hair, pulling my head towards hers. Her eyes aflame gazed into mine, and I felt as if she touched my very soul.

"I know you've wanted to do this for a very long time. So have I. The difference between us is I take what I want."

Her lips brushed against mine, cool in the warm summer heat. I closed my eyes and lost myself in her kiss. The scent of ocean surf mingled with her crisp perfume. Lips parted, and tongues danced a salsa around each other. I had never before kissed a woman. Her lips were feather soft, like pillows pressing against my own lips. So unlike a man's. Her delicate cheek brushed against my chin, so smooth. For once a face brushed my own that was not covered with stubble.

This was where I belonged - in Malena's arms, wrapped in her sumptuous curves.

"You don't have to be downstairs for another fifty minutes." She whispered against my throat. The warm breath on my skin made me break out in goosebumps. "I can help you pass the time. It will fly by quickly."

"Too quickly," I said as I stroked her back. She felt smaller than she looked; a tiny thing ready to burst out of her own skin. At long last, I felt the weight of Malena's supple body in my arms. Her full breasts pressed against my chest. Her arms wrapped around me like trembling vines around a solid oak. Despite her casual attitude, she was as nervous about our tryst as I was. How many times had she miscalculated the interest of a woman she desired? At least this time, her hunch was correct.

New Acceptances for 2015

I'm doing the happy dance! My family saga/thriller novel "Secrets and Lies" has been accepted by Eldritch Press for publication. It will be divided into two books, and I shall receive a $1,000 advance. I'm very psyched. That makes two publications so far for 2015:

[From "Unfolding Her Wings", which is about pregnant Sun and her spouse, Gatria, who live and work in space. Sun remains at home on the space station and misses Gatria, who is away from home working  in zero-G. Sun no longer works in zero-G due to the effect is has on her and her growing fetus. Their secondary partner, Shira, stops by to check  on Sun and feed her breakfast on Gatria's orders. ]

Sun let Shira feed her, since she liked it when Shira took care of her. She and Gatria had opened their relationship to other women prior to marriage, and Shira became a regular fixture in their lives. She rested her head on Shira’s chest as she swallowed hard to alleviate the nausea. Shira’s strong hand rubbed her lower back until her body relaxed. Once she felt calm, she raised her head to stare into Shira’s eyes. 

“Do you know that now you are sexier than you’ve ever been?” Shira whispered.

“I don’t feel sexy. I feel like bulging atomic gas. I can’t even work in space because the zero-G will mess up the baby’s bones, organs, my pregnancy weight gain, whatnot. I feel so ugly.” She had mixed feelings about being in space. On the one hand she missed Gatria and their work in zero gravity. On the other hand, she wanted to be home at the space station with both feet planted firmly on the ground when it came time to raise their daughter. She was a bundle of contradictions. She feared her unknown and changing future, and felt more than a little confusion.

“You’re in transition right now. With Gatria’s help you’ll make the right decisions. And you’re sexier than you know,” Shira lowered her head and brushed her lips against Sun’s, who opened her mouth without being asked. Shira’s tongue slipped in, and Sun tasted chocolate and coffee. She’s melting cocoa in her coffee again… The smooth, sweet taste flowed over her tongue as she kissed Shira, and she felt a stirring in her belly as the woman opened Sun’s robe to reveal her large, bare breasts.

“These are especially nice.” She took one plump, blue-veined breast in her hand. “You gained a few cup sizes, Love, and you smell incredible. May I help myself?”

Sun ran her fingers through Shira’s hair and guided the woman’s head to her darkened, hard nipples.

Happy Cake And Cunnilingus Day!

Today is Cake And Cunnilingus Day! It's another fake holiday, but one with a kick. I first heard about this holiday thanks to men who couldn't see beyond the crass commercialism of Valentine's Day. I'm not here to get into an argument as to whether or not Valentine's Day was created by Hallmark, candy companies, and florists to part the gullible from their hard-earned money. I'm also not here to defend the day from uncoupled people who rightly feel left out on February 14. I turn that day into my own special day, and I know plenty of men and women who do likewise. I celebrate it with my husband and my son. My mom sends me a card every year. It's simply that some men chose to use that day as a launching pad for their own holiday which they believed celebrated men and what they wanted from relationships as well as make fun of Valentine's Day.

It's called Steak And Blowjob Day. Yeah, I laughed too. Steak and BJ Day is one month after Valentine's Day, specifically on March 14.

That day is already very special to me. You see, it's my birthday. So not only did I celebrate my birthday in style, we ate surf and turf. And other things. :)

Women heard about that day and had to create a day of their own, hence Cake And Cunnilingus Day a month later on April 14. I was afraid these fake holidays would go on forever; what with Biscuits And BDSM Day on May 14, Absinthe And Anal Day on June 14, Meat and Masturbation Day on July 14, etc., etc., ad nauseum. Thankfully, it stopped, but I must admit Cake And Cunnilingus Day has a nice ring to it. And I always appreciate some good muff diving. :)

The two stories I would like to mention from I Kissed a Girl II are: Queen of Swords By Inara Lavey and Nimble Fingers by Lucy Felthouse.

The first story: Queen of Swords was an excellent read. It takes place in medieval times with a queen Adisa, that is fighting to keep her position. In this story the queen has to give the king an heir or else take part in a tournament to see if another women should take her place. She has sex with one of her servants Lyra, and the author does really well with setting the sex up. It takes place in a marble bathroom and you can feel the excitement in the air. With this story I really loved the setting of the medieval castle and the feelings that it portrayed.

The second story: Nimble Fingers was also an excellent read. This story centers around Jessica, a girl at a bar there to see the band. While watching the band, she really notices the guitarist Samantha and watches her intently. During one of the breaks, Samantha comes over and introduces herself. What follows is a night of sex fun that starts right there in the bar bathroom and ends at Samantha's house. This was a great read, you could feel the tension as the woman were both in the bathroom stall together and you could feel the heat rise all the way up until they got to her house.

Overall I enjoyed all the stories in I Kissed a Girl II: More Virgin Lesbian Stories, but the two I mentioned above stood out the most for me. If you are interested in reading a few quick stories, and don't mind lesbian action, be sure to check out I Kissed a Girl II: More Virgin Lesbian Stories.

"Turn off the light."

"Who are you?" She whirled around, looking for the source of the voice but finding nothing.

The voice sounded young, like a woman barely out of her twenties, and it sounded like chimes singing in the wind. The young invisible woman spoke with a plea in her voice, as if she was afraid Bridget would flee, and fleeing was first and foremost on Bridget's mind as her heart pounded in her throat. She fought an urge to bolt from the room and run downstairs to surround herself with living, breathing people.

"I'm not going to hurt you. Please turn off the light."

"I'm not turning off the light. Who are you?"

Silence.

Bridget stood in front of the couch, frozen. Her teeth chattered, and she clenched her jaw to make them stop. A chill descended over the room, making her shiver. She wished she had a blanket so she could stay warm - and hide.

"C'mon, tell me. What's his name?" the voice said.

"Who are you talking about?"

"The guy you're mad at. No woman comes to a hotel room alone with

two unopened bottles of wine unless she has man trouble."

"He's my boyfriend … er, ex-boyfriend … and what's it to you?"

"I saw you crying earlier, and it made me sad. What did he do to you?"

Why am I talking to someone I can't see? This is insane. Bridget looked around the room, trying to make sense of her predicament. Even in the dim light she could see she was alone. Her breath burst from her lips in a cloud in front of her mouth. Her body shivered and was covered with goose bumps. Afraid, she froze where she sat, wondering what lay in store for her.

"Well? What did he do to you?"

The bizarre nature of her position blew Bridget’s mind but she couldn't help but answer. Her unseen roommate's gentle tone of voice lured her out. Bridget had felt a strong urge to dump all her sorrows on anyone who would listen, and her invisible guest made herself available. So what if she was a ghost? She was an eager and attentive audience.

"He cheated on me. And today's my birthday. I'm pissed," Bridget said as she stood up to stretch. Lying on the couch had given her a body cramp.

"I can't believe he did that again, after he’d promised he wouldn’t bed anyone else after the last time."

"You mean he has a history of cheating on you?"

"Yes. This is his third time."

"And you stayed with him? What a poor choice! You deserve some punishment."

Thwack! Without warning, pain gripped her left butt cheek. Bridget whirled around, looking for her unseen confidante but seeing no one. It was one thing to talk to someone you couldn't see, but there was something exciting about being touched by an invisible entity. The hand that spanked her was small but strong. Bridget wondered what else her ghostly roommate could do with that hand.

"What was that for?"

"No, but—"

YES! YES! YES! My erotic short story UNFOLDING HER WINGS has been accepted by Circlet Press for publication in their WOMEN ON THE EDGE OF SPACE anthology!!!! I'm doing the happy dance!!! This is my first attempt at hard science fiction (and SF in general), and I'm DELIGHTED it has been accepted!!! I'll keep everyone posted as to when it comes out so you may buy it.

I got help from a real, live astrophysicist for this story. It's about two women married to each other, one is pregnant, and they're living and working in space. Their names are Sun and Gatria, and Sun is seven months pregnant. They have a secondary partner named Shira whose on the space station with Sun whilst Gatria is working elsewhere in zero gravity on moss samples. Sun can't do that work because of the effects zero gravity will have on her and her baby's growth. It was a blast to write, but it was a BEAR! My astrophysicist friend was a great deal of help. If I can write a dedication in the book, I'll definitely thank him. I already e-mailed him and gushed like crazy.
