Ah, Fall. I love this time of year. It's probably my favorite. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and that one has already passed. Christmas is right around the corner. I love the colors, the scents of apple and maple, and the chilly weather. I live on the northeastern Massachusetts coast so this area looks like a Currier and Ives painting in the fall and especially winter. What I love best about fall is baking. I've already made pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, banana nut bread, ginger snaps, pinwheel cookies, Italian anise cookies, and sugar cookies. I'd like to tackle a gingerbread house but knowing my talent it'll end up looking more like a gingerbread tenement. LOL

Today I'm making mulled hot cider. I have the spices handy. We bought the apple cider yesterday. After that's gone, I make hot buttered rum. Yum! My husband has a recipe for homemade Bailey's Irish cream he always makes this time of year. It goes fast, obviously.

My idea of a Hot Autumn Night is to be cuddled snugly in my bed with a good book, some hot cider or hot buttered rum (or hot cocoa with mini marshmallows on top) by my side, and surrounded by my cats. My husband may interrupt me if he wishes. I won't complain. ;)

I love to read and write this time of year. I'm currently reading "The Hotel New Hampshire", which is set not far from my home. I didn't do NaNoWriMo this year, but I am working on a mystery/thriller I'd like to have completely edited by early 2013. I've written two erotic fairy tales so far this fall. Both were published in early October. They are "Trouble In Thigh High Boots" (erotic Puss In Boots) and "Climbing Her Tower" (erotic Rapunzel). These two are very erotic and sexually explicit books.
